General Motors CFO Dhivya Suryadevara is leaving the automaker to pursue what the company said is an opportunity outside the car business.

Not long after the GM news, online-payments company Stripe announced that Suryadevara would become its CFO.

John Stapleton, GM’s North America CFO, will step in on an interim basis.
