One of nine events on the annual ATP 1000 tennis calendar, we’ve got the Italian Open taking place once again, on the clay courts in Rome. A highly successful event since inauguration in 1930, the leading men’s and women’s tennis players from around the world usually participate in this tournament, as it’s vital to preparation ahead of the French Open tournament each year.
Italian Open 2023 is here between 12-21 May 2023 with the qualifiers taking place from 8th May 2023 onwards. If you’re interested in knowing which are the top players in the tournament (both men’s and women’s), Read Scoops has put down the Italian Open 2023 top seeds for both the ATP Rome as well as WTA Rome tournaments, which we’ll be updating daily through the competition as well.
Winning the 2022 Italian Open, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic is the defending champion and also the Italian Open 2023 top seed for the men’s draw. In the women’s draw, Poland’s Iga Swiatek has won the last two tournaments here in 2021 and 2022, and she’s the obvious choice for the top female seed as well. However, both of them will surely receive tough competition.
