ANKENY — Fresh off their most points in five-on-five player history the Fort Dodge girls basketball team will get back on the court against Ankeny Centennial.

The Dodgers (1-1 overall) will begin the doubleheader at 6:15 p.m. with the boys to follow at 7:45 p.m. against the Jaguars.

Aleaha Pommer led the way with 24 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Tory Bennett had 20, eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals.

Lainey Maehl checked in with 15 points and eight rebounds. Paytene Hiveley came off the bench for a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

The Jaguars are coming off a 45-38 win over Southeast Polk. Cleao Murray is adding 14.3 points and Kennedy White is scoring at an 11.7 clip.

The Dodger boys lost their season opener to Des Moines Hoover. Javion Jondle led the way with 10 points. Bradley Vodraska and Carson Peterson had nine each.

The Jaguars lost to Southeast Polk 54-49 in their season opener. Jackson Snyder led the way with 13 points. Chase Schutty had 11 and Luke Winkel added eight.
