Make a list of your top 3 (or 4 at most) priorities
What are your top daily priorities? It might be the same every day, or it could change daily (or weekly or monthly). It could be chores, like laundry and dishes. Or it could be self-care items like exercising. Or it could be homeschool activities. Whatever it is, these are the items that must get done. They’re essential for your family’s success.

Write down your child’s schedule
Your schedule will be dictated by your child’s schedule. If you have a little one, their nap times and meal times are usually the drivers. If you have school-aged kids, their school schedule will be the foundation of your schedule. Get their activities on paper.

Now, it’s time to fill in your plans around your child’s schedule. I find it easiest to batch tasks and put blocks of time in my schedule (i.e. a chore block, a self-care block, a work block). But you could schedule individual tasks if that works better for you.

You have to live the schedule for a few days to know if it’s going to work for you. Use a planner if that’s helpful, but try to stick to the schedule as close as possible so you can tell if it’s going to work! Make adjustments as necessary.
